    The civil society constituency to EITI was always very active and productive. That can be confirmed through participation in MSG meetings, contribution given in all the related issues and inputs to the report, in legal issues ect. (minutes of meetings are the proof of that). But along the way some of the members resigned due to personal or professional reasons. Meantime the AlbNet_EITI Coalition is formalized since January 2016. EITI Process is difficult and sensitive therefore not everyone can participate or be interested in this initiative. Second EITI Validation Process

      Second EITI International Validation Process in Albania On March 18, 2019 a meeting was organized with representatives of the Validation Mission .z. Alex Gordy, Director of Validation and Mr. Hugo Paret, Technical Expert at the EITI International Secretariat in Oslo, members of the Albanian Multistakeholder Group - MSG, as well as representatives of civil society from the Bulqiza and Ura Vajgurore. The meeting was held in the framework of the Second International Validation Process of EITI activity in Albania. Civil Society Workshop

    Civil Society Workshop and the election for the Multi-Stakeholder Group representatives   The Albanian Center for Development and Integration in cooperation with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO, close to the Swiss Embassy in Tirana, on February 11-12, 2019, organised a workshop with the theme “The Civil Society, its role in the Transparency of the Extractive Industry”. 22 representatives from National Civil Society Organizations from extractive regions (Has, Kukes, Bulqize, UraVajgurore, Berat, Korce and Tirana), participated.
